This unique dress is handmade completely from scratch using fabric I screen printed with my original hand drawn artwork.  Like all of my garments and accessories, this dress is My original design and one of a kind.

I hand printed dark turquoise cotton/lycra knit fabric using my original onion and allium designs and dark teal, green, metallic copper, metallic gold and black inks.  For the details on the neckline and cuffs I used off-white cotton knit fabric I hand printed with my original stripes design and black ink.

I gave this piece a lovely shape with straight sleeves that fall just below the elbow, a high/empire waist and gradually flaring to a wide hem that I finished with a ruffle made from the matching turquoise print fabric.  I finished the neckline and cuffs using striped fabric for a wonderful splash of bold contrast color and made a pin tuck stitch from neck to hem center front/back and several pin-tuck stitches around the neckline for added Fink style structure and beauty.

The ruffle hem is raw/unfinished ~ not to worry, I use fabrics that do not fray and love the artistic look of raw edges.
